International Press Gallery

Double Delegate

IPG

The International Press Gallery (IPG) serves as the Fourth Estate, holding council delegates accountable, while acting both as a narrator and a watchdog. Delegates in the IPG will step into the shoes of global journalists, reporting on the events of the conference with flair, accuracy, and creativity. Representing various media outlets, they will craft articles, conduct interviews, and explore how editorial stances influence public perception of international affairs. Over the course of the three days, delegates will have the opportunity to hone their writing and critical thinking skills while bringing the world of diplomacy to life through the lens of journalism.

Dynamic Agenda

Unlike fixed-agenda councils, the IPG operates with a dynamic agenda that evolves with real-time council developments. Press delegates monitor emerging blocs, draft resolutions, and key turning points, crafting content that remains relevant and impactful. This system mirrors the unpredictable nature of global journalism, requiring delegates to think critically, adapt quickly, and respond to complex political shifts.

A dynamic agenda mandates press delegates to maintain both accuracy and engagement while challenging delegates to produce analysis that shapes narratives and frames issues for a wider audience of delegates. In essence, the dynamic agenda ensures that the Press remains timely, agile, and central to every unfolding debate.
